Greetings, fellow Family
Rights Patriots:
You really need this
.perfect. opportunity to tell YOUR
(and OUR) own story to over 700 reporters, in person!
You really need this .perfect. opportunity to maybe - just maybe - get
your own story onto the national news!
EVERYTHING we do, as
"rights" activists, is usually geared towards GETTING
attention:
-- *attention* - from our own
local public;
-- *attention* - from our
national public;
-- *attention* - from the
global public;
-- *attention* - from the govt;
and, MOST importantly:
-- *attention* - from the
mainstream media... which we hope/know leads to the rest above...
Sooo, how would you like - instead - to be
GIVEN a rare and
*golden* opportunity to have direct,
in-person access to over 700 TV, radio, and newspaper
reporters, from every corner of the United States (and, some from
around the world, too):
-- staying outside a large public building all
day long;
-- open in public where you can walk right up to them; and,
--
be basically *captive* for whatever political comments, observations, and
suggestions that you would like to say to any of them??
Sooo, how would you like it even
better, if we ALL showed up and started talking to all of these
hundreds of newsmedia people, at the same time, about our same
issues??
Well, it's not "too good to be true" -- because
IT IS TRUE, and the date is coming sooner than you think, on
August 11th, 2007... a Saturday...
and, our organizational framework is *already* in place to handle coordinating
transportation to this event and etc., as explained below!
On August 11th,
2007, and after a looong eight (8) years since the last such
event, the battle for the next U.S. Presidency will kick off as a day-long media
frenzy in Ames, Iowa, at the
much-anticipated opening event -- the Iowa Straw
Poll -- where ALL of the *serious* Republican Presidential
candidates will come to see and be seen, and to hopefully make it into the top
three (3) public straw poll voting election spots by the end of the day. Since
1979, every person nominated to run as/for President by the Republican Party has
placed in the top three (3) of the straw poll results. Hence, the Iowa Straw
Poll is the "make or break" event for every
Republican presidential hopeful... an ultimately-serious and
intensely-media-critical event!
REMEMBER, it does NOT matter which
political party or which Presidential candidate - if any - you
personally support... It is not about that... It
is about having THE .perfect. opportunity to talk with over 700 news
reporters about our important issues... and, in person!!... but, why not *also*
throw in a .bonus. opportunity to
meet and talk with every serious Republican candidate, too, and
be able to ask them directly, face to face, what do THEY believe and
promise to support!
With all of the ATTENTION that *will* be at this major
event, we cannot fail to take advantage of this opportunity to get anyone and
everyone there, to TALK about our ISSUES, to be SEEN there in large numbers, and
to then finally GET our issues catapulted into the top political issues - and
the ongoing nightly news and Sunday political talk shows - for the next several
weeks and months!! We simply MUST show up in Ames,
Iowa, on August 11th,
2007, in ***large numbers***... We must not
fail this .perfect.
opportunity!!!
Why do I keep saying "700" reporters? Because I want
to err on the *conservative* side... I would actually estimate the number will
be somewhere in the range of 800 or more, based upon the past history of this
rare and uniquely-major event, where there were over 600 reporters from over 250
various news organizations at the last Iowa Straw
Poll, which was held clear back in 1999:
And, this time, it's even all the more
important to the media and politicians, because this is the first
time in *many* decades that there will be no
sitting President or sitting Vice-President running in
the next election... It will surely be a media FRENZY, looking for ALL the
"angles" on WHY people are there, as fodder for all of their 1000's of related
stories over the following weeks and months!!
BINGO! We're in...
Here's the Iowa State University's campus map of the
Hilton Coliseum, the building where the 2007 Iowa Straw Poll will actually be held at, with
some various info links:

Here's a zoomable MapQuest closeup of about one block
Northeast of the Hilton Coliseum (it has no physical street
address separate from the Iowa State University campus), so you can zoom out to
plan routes from your area to Ames,
Iowa, from the nearest intersection:

And now, for a suggested framework to make it all
actually happen:
1) Any group you belong to... It already exists.
Members of your group can begin suggesting group travel arrangements,
whether by sharing a car or two, entire caravans of cars, or maybe chartering
one or more buses, or whatever. Your group can get it done, one way or
another. Leaders of your group could start talking with the leaders of
other groups, if they wanted to arrange physical meeting spot(s) for groups to
get together in Ames, Iowa, share
the costs of buses, setup overnight stays if needed enroute, or etc. Every
group CAN get it done - somehow... Yes, it CAN!
2) Use the Yahoo! group
already created to support reform/rights issues in your own county, and organize
directly with the other people on that county group. While originally created
for a set of nationwide classactions to be eventually brought on behalf of
American parental rights (divorce/paternity custody cases and CPS cases), these
**already existing** Yahoo groups -- one for each and every one of the USA's
~3200 counties -- can be used to support ANY local effort, whatsoever, including
massing the people everywhere for a major public event like this one! You can
easily find the Yahoo! group online for YOUR very own local county
here:

Come on, We The
People!! If we can FINALLY get **unity** in action and
purpose here from among the different groups, and get just
a mere several thousand persons to
show up in Ames, Iowa, on
August 11, 2007 (again, a
Saturday...), then we:
-- finally become a powerful
presence for the media; (i.e.)
-- finally become a
serious issue in the public eye; (i.e.)
-- finally
become a credible force in the political eye;
--
which makes our issues a problem to be solved;
and,
-- gets some of our most victimized people on
the news;
-- which brings more people and funding
to the movement;
-- etc.
Heck, with surely more than enough people coming together
in one spot (finally), we can have a serious multi-lateral and
action-track-based conference that same weekend...
Thanks for your consideration...
spread the word:
Victory in
Ames on August 11th!!
Please DO join the reform movement discussion group
on Yahoo for your own
state and your own
county, and help lead the charge on where to meet, what to do, and how to do it, for an overwhelming showing at
the Iowa Straw Poll coming on Saturday, August 11th this year, in Ames, Iowa (Des Moines).
Cheers!
